Product description
The Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) gives effect to our constitutional right of access to information held by the State.
PAIA provides for increased transparency in government, contributing to an informed public and ultimately enhancing an open and democratic society. Access to information by Ronée Robinson is a guide to the right of access to information and the manner in which PAIA addresses this right.
It focuses on how the courts have applied the law in South Africa specifically, but also makes reference to the manner in which the right of access to information is protected in Germany, the UK, the USA, Canada, India and Australia
