Product description
This book provides readers with insight of policing developments in South Africa with perspectives on developments from the early colonial days to the period of democratization (pre- and post-1994).
The nature of policing depends heavily on the type of society and political environment in which the police function. This book examines the mandate, structure, management and services of the police in South Africa. It also looks into the future to consider the challenges that lay ahead in a world where globalisation of both crime and policing is the order of the day.
